The Teachers' Resource Center is a staff-centered area located in the former Gary Gore Elementary School building where two former classrooms have been turned into a teacher supply store and a professional development library.
The Teachers' Supply Store is the place to shop for classroom supplies, from rulers and erasers to flash cards and musical hand instruments. We also have science kits, globes, reward charts, arts and crafts supplies, storage solutions, and much, much more. Most items are $1.00, and can be purchased with your Jennings Bucks. Check with your building principal to see how you can earn Jennings Bucks to purchase new classroom supplies!
The Teachers' Resource Room is located behind the Supply Store, and is a library of books and DVDs/CDs on subjects from student achievement and common core standards, to classroom management and school leadership. Instructional books in areas of academic instruction are also available. All materials are "on loan" for up to 30 days: just sign out the book or DVD at the desk, and it's yours for a day, 2 weeks, or up to a month. We trust you will return the item in the same condition as when you borrowed it. In addition, this room has an area available where you are welcome to relax and reflect, or visit with other teachers.
This center is designed to grow and evolve, so your feedback and suggestions are important to us. You may also request any item you have on your "wish list." Just drop your ideas and supply requests into the suggestion box. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and will notify you when we have the item in stock.
The Teacher Resource Center is open every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:15-5:00 p.m. and is located on the 1st floor of the Gary Gore Elementary building. Please check the calendar in this section of the website for cancellation or special hours of operation due to district holidays or events, and special promotions or activities that will be held at the center.
