This 3-day event, November 3-5, 2016 will be full of excitement and fun while transforming our young leaders into change agents for the St. Louis area, Midwest region and African American male leaders of the nation.
The conference will begin Thursday, November 3rd and commence on Saturday November 5th with an awards banquet. Student leaders from 4 school districts within St. Louis City and St. Louis County will be represented and endorsed by their current superintendents to be an ambassador for their districts at the conference. The superintendents of these districts support and provide guidance full in the selection process of their districts representatives.
On November 5th, young men who are juniors and seniors will embark upon a corporate experience at Monsanto & Bunge corporation where they will interact with various corporate leaders and partners of the organization. Young men who are sophomore and freshman students will spend the day receiving social and soft skills training to be successful in business at the Gore Community Education Center which is also the new regional headquarters for Men on Business, Jr. MANRRS. This training will serve as a prerequisite for movement from a Documented Membership Level to the Emerging Membership Level, which is a step from the final Branded Membership Level.
On Friday our student leaders will switch and take part in the second half of our program, as our upper classmen will take part in the leadership component and our under classmen will travel to spend the day with Land O’Lakes for their corporate experience.
Our upper classmen will remain at Gore Community Education Center and receive leadership training designed to provide them the skills to change the culture at their perspective high school. In addition, plant a seed to grow a culture that embraces a love for learning and sets new high standards for success of all student in these institutions.
