J-Town Market ensures students and families have access to nutritious foods.

The J-Town Food Market is located at 2545 Dorwood Drive (63136) in the Jennings School District. It provides essential nutrition to combat food insecurity, especially during school breaks.

In December 2025, a major drive-up event funded by the St. Louis County Children’s Services Fund distributed 200 fresh produce boxes and 480 food boxes with partners including The Little Bit Foundation and Operation Food Search.

The initiative was part of a broader holiday effort, supported by The Little Bit Foundation, Operation Food Search and the St. Louis Area Food Bank to deliver more than 6,000 meal and produce kits to JSD and neighboring schools, supporting about 8,000 regional families.

The J-Town Food Market distributions are held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month (may be adjusted due to holidays) at 1 p.m. – on a first-come, first-served basis – at the Gary Gore Community Center, located at 2545 Dorwood Drive, Jennings, MO 63136.
