What kind of communication can I expect during the process?
If your qualifications meet the criteria for the position, you will be contacted by the personnel services or the building administrator/principal to schedule an interview.
Does my educational experience make me too expensive to be hired? Have I taught too many years to be hired?
No. Jennings School District is looking for the best match of a teaching applicant to the available opening. We hire people with many years of teaching experience, as well as first year teachers. Likewise, we hire teachers with bachelor’s degrees as well as candidates with advanced degrees.
Does Jennings School District have a salary schedule?
Yes. Your teaching experience and degrees earned are taken into consideration in determining your salary. Teachers have found the salaries given by Jennings School District to be extremely competitive with surrounding school districts.
How will I be notified if I am to be hired?
The hiring process is ongoing. If you have been interviewed for a specific position, you will receive notification of your status when a candidate has been selected. Unsuccessful candidates who interview will be notified in writing to let them know that the position has been filled.
