A New JSD Organization Structure, Promotions, and a First in JSD History

On August 3, 2020, Superintendent of School, Dr. Art McCoy recommended and the Jennings School District Board (JSD) of Directors unanimously approved the organization structure for the district: JSD Organization Structure (or click here to see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GTk7WvmD3E0mBejATWrDM8uVlRgw8yN4/view?usp=sharing). Within this action, the JSD Board of Directors unanimously approved the promotion of Dr. Vernice Hicks-Prophet as Assistant Superintendent of JSD and Mrs. Stephanie Alexander as the first Chief Human Resources Officer and Federal Programs of JSD. While we know that all our warriors are special, this action is an acknowledgment of the excellent leadership, stellar service, and positive environment promoted within Jennings School District and beyond by these two outstanding professionals.

In addition to Mrs. Alexander being the first Jennings School District employee of any race, gender, or creed to hold the title of "Chief Human Resources Officer" and "Chief Human Resources and Federal Programs Officer,” she was recently named the first African-American President of Missouri Association of School Personnel Administrators (MOASPA). Dr. Hicks-Prophet helped each JSD Focus School to reach a successful status as the Focus School Supervisor, led the elementary schools to greater achievements, oversaw districtwide parent concerns, Jennings Galas, and Jamborees multiple years resulting in tremendous growth, and more. Please join me in celebrating our very own Warriors on a job well done.
